Q. Where do you conduct sessions?

At this stage I offer both online and teletherapy sessions for clients. In special circumstances, I can arrange to visit clients at a location of their choosing. 

For my online sessions, I use a secure and confidential video conferencing platform. Once you schedule an appointment, I will send you a confirmation email that includes a link to the session. You can access the session through your computer, phone, or tablet. During the appointment, we'll be able to see and hear each other as if we were in the same room. I'll provide you with any additional information you need to ensure the online session is comfortable and effective for you. Q. Can I Use The Mental Health Plan Referral For Subsidised Sessions With A Counsellor?

Unfortunately, the Mental Health Plan referral is only available to mental health social workers and practicing psychologists. As a counsellor, I do not have access to it. However, I want to assure you that my rates at $60 for 50 mins are highly competitive and accessible even without the subsidy. While the average cost of a psychologist ranges from $180 to $260 per hour, the Mental Health Plan only covers $90 of this cost. In comparison, my rates are actually lower.

Q. How Do You Take Payment For Counselling Sessions?

The first session is always paid up front. After that, we offer two options for payment: before or after the session. Payment is direct debit at this stage. Our payment process is secure and confidential. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Q. Am I Able To Claim A Rebate For Your Services Through Private Health Insurance?

At the moment, I'm not registered with any private health cover providers for rebates. In order to become registered, there are certain requirements and a minimum length of time that the business needs to be established. I understand that private health rebates can be an important factor for some clients, and I'm committed to making this option available as soon as possible. In the meantime, I strive to offer competitive and accessible rates to all my clients.

Q. Do you offer appointments outside normal business hours or weekends?

Absolutely. In fact, that’s where I am focusing on making myself available at this time. We want to cater to people with busy lives.
